Despite diversity initiatives and unconscious bias training, gender bias is still a major issue for women seeking leadership positions. We can’t discount the influence this bias has on women’s advancement and the ability for women to maintain their status over time.

Women currently make up about half of the total workforce (46.9%), yet only 40 percent of managerial roles. According to Catalyst, the gender gap in leadership widens as you climb the corporate ladder. In S&P 500 companies, only 26.5 percent of senior leadership positions are held by women.
