Surprised? In our youth-centric culture, these facts may be shocking. After all, we don’t focus much on the aging population. Yet, the facts don’t lie. It is clear the demographics are shifting and people are living longer, healthier lives. It’s a wake-up call. And it’s a forewarning for businesses to pay attention to these shifting dynamics to leverage future market opportunities (a $22 trillion opportunity worldwide), and also for individuals to re-think their career and life plan; a life plan built around the assumption of retirement at 65.
